What is a J-Brace? 

A J-Brace is a bracket, purposely designed to add additional strength and support to an item. In this case it is the truck bed of the Next-Generation Ford Ranger & Raptor. This brace acts as a reinforcement and is mounted close to the wheel arches of the vehicle. 

Do I need a J-Brace? 

To act in accordance with Ford Motor Company’s requirements it is essential to install a genuine J-Brace bracket kit prior to installing a Hardtop Canopy to the All-New Ford Ranger (2023 Onwards). The J-Brace has been purposely designed to provide additional support when mounting Hardtop Canopies to the Ford Ranger 2023 Wildtrak and Raptor truck bed. Please note it may also make your vehicle warranty void in some scenarios if a J-Brace is not installed prior to fitting a canopy. 

If you opt in for our Hardtop fitting service here at Truckman, we will require the vehicle to either arrive with a Ford J-brace fitted or we will fit one on-site here. This will also incur additional fitting costs.

The supporting J-Brace can be purchased from our website www.truckman.co.uk using part code XAAC4140138 for the Ford Ranger Raptor and code XAAC4140135 for all other models with the purchase of one of our hardtop canopies.
