The journey begins at ARB UK’s headquarters in Dudley, with a fully equipped Isuzu D-Max kitted out with ARB’s latest touring and off-road gear. The vehicle – prepared with everything needed to live on (and off) the road – will travel through France, Italy, and Spain before crossing into Morocco, with the return journey following the same route. The route is designed to test the limits of ARB engineering and showcase the spirit of adventure that defines the brand. The expedition is being undertaken by teams from Isuzu’s ARB Hub network, who will take turns behind the wheel. First up are Steve Waltho and Darryl Middleton, ARB Field Sales Managers based in Dudley, who handed the vehicle to Sales Manager’s from Oxford’s Isuzu Bellinger, Alan Rixon and Thomas Zuidhof. Team Bellinger will drive through the UK and France into Italy, where they will pass the keys to a team from M.M. Bellinger and Sons: Managing Director Oliver Dimbylow and Sales Manager Joe Bellinger. Their leg takes them through Italy into Spain, where the final outward changeover will take place. Here, Crawfords Chelmsford’s Marketing Manager, Hannah Kelsey, will undertake the final leg, crossing from Spain into Morocco and travelling to the destination in Marrakech – before the return journey back to the UK. The D-Max is fully loaded with ARB’s premium gear, including the new Altitude Rooftop Tent, Ascent Canopy, Outback Drawer System with kitchen setup, ZERO Fridge, BASE Rack, StealthBar with Winch, Awning and Awning Room, Ensuite, OME Suspension and Recovery Points – everything required for a serious overland adventure. Thomas Zuidhof.said: “We’re just setting off and already buzzing with excitement. The route ahead is packed with incredible landscapes. From alpine passes to desert dunes, we can’t wait to put the D-Max and ARB kit through their paces. This is what it’s all about: real-world adventure, shared with great people – in great places.” As the journey unfolds, the team is looking forward to highlights including the beaches of Hossegor, the vineyards of Valladolid, and the rugged terrain of the Agafay Desert. Our Australian team is doing a similar adventure down under, travelling across the outback. We couldn’t let them have all the fun, so we’ve put together our own version of the Paris-Dakar rally from the UK.” Founded in 1975 in Melbourne, ARB has grown into a global leader in off-road accessories. Its UK division, based in Dudley, has expanded rapidly in recent years, particularly following the acquisition of Truckman in 2021.
